Some of the finest pegmatitic Cassiterite specimens are those from Linópolis, Brazil. Their easily recognizable twinning habit, larger-than-average sized crystals and excellent overall quality makes them some of best Cassiterites from any world locality.

This piece is a beautiful miniature featuring a few sharp, lustrous, very well-formed, black cyclic twinned crystals of Cassiterite, free of matrix. If you look closely, you can see there is a slight iridescence on the surface of the Cassiterites, which is not commonly seen in this material.

Overall, the piece is in good shape on the front/display side, though I can see one contacted edge on one of the twins, and the piece is not crystallized on the back, but it still displays well and looks nice in the hand and on the shelf of a display case.
