LOCATION: Xianghuapu Mine, Xianghualing Sn-polymetallic ore field, Linwu Co., Chenzhou Pref., Hunan, China

DESCRIPTION:

The vast majority of the Fluorite specimens from the Xianghuapu Mine are green, but this piece is special and different because although it is largely green in color, there is one crystal group which is notably PURPLE, standing out from the rest of the Fluorite crystals on the specimen .

The piece features wonderful, sharp, lustrous, WATER-CLEAR, pale green color, highly modified crystal groups in octahedral orientations, but as I mentioned there is one purple group on the end which is certainly uncharacteristic for the locality.

It might be hard to tell from the photos and video, but the crystals truly are WATER-CLEAR, but you have to hold the piece at an odd angle to get the light to pass through them.

If you collect Fluorites, Chinese minerals, or simply "oddball" specimens, don't miss out on this beautiful, fine quality and unique piece for your collection.
