Polished freeform electric blue Lapis Lazuli metamorphic rock. The rock is comprised of multiple minerals of Lazurite (blue), calcite (clear to white)  and minor pyrite. This piece is thick enough to show the banding or layering that has resulted from the rock under going  metamorphic processes.  This famous Afghanistan location has been mined for many centuries.
